Hi everyone. I’ve had anxiety and panic attacks for over 25 years. My dominant symptoms were a racing heart and different aches and pains throughout my body.

Geert I’ve only just started your cd course but I can already tell this is going to work. Today when I woke up I felt a sense of “calm” that I haven’t felt for as long as I can remember.

I now know I’m not the only one with the problem and thanks to your techniques it feels as if I can finally DO something about it. I’m already feeling results so I’m really looking forward to the rest of your sessions.

God bless you! I hope you understand how important your materials are for us.

  2. Belinda Statham says:

It works it works! I’ve been listening to your first session for about a week now and yesterday I went out for a drive, shopped at the mall AND went to a restaurant with my husband for dinner.

I was a little anxious at first but I’ve used your Tsunami Method and it works!!! Thank you Geert, this is what I’ve been looking for all that time!

  3. J Dewey says:

I have panic attacks regularly and for no reason. They are getting worse – most centered around my dislike of the job I am doing. I can’t seem to change anything because I am feeling so bad. I’m on a merry-go-round going nowhere.

after 40 years of public speaking as one of jehovah’s witnesses,
my world changed dramatically, when out of the blue, i had a
panic attack as i stepped onto the platform to deliver another
    bible talk.

it changed my world so much that i am no longer active, and only
now, 10 years later, through self control have i been able to teach
aviation, my other love, in a public forum, small groups.

i have never been a coffee drinker, but the sunday morning of my
panic attack, i had 2 strong flavored coffee drinks. prior to this
i had worked closing a failed business. mentally and physically,
i was exhausted. just did not know how to say no this speaking
    assignment.

    look forward to your videos

  11. Julia says:

That was awesome information! After doctors have been trying to pump me up with pills and sending me for counselling none of it helped. I ended up seeing it as another reason for anxiety. I was also told to fight the panic and anxiety but all it did was make it worse. Anyway I thank you.

  12. Kristin says:

I suffered my first panic attack november 2, 2007 (the day before my wedding) I’ve suffered long and it does take over people’s lives. I have seemed to somewhat control my panic attacks, but not all the time. I would rather they don’t even start. but i have a question about why i may have them when i’m relaxed and at peace? sometime when i’m just about to fall asleep?

  18. Kathleen D. Cone says:

I’m new to this syndrome and have not yet gone through a complete testing of my systems to see if indeed there is a physical reason for what I am experiencing. But, I think in the meantime, it’s wise to learn ways in which to deal with ‘Panic Attacks’ regardless of their source.

I can say that my life has been a continuous series of stress from early childhood to the present and recently alot of painful experiences have been coming to the surface that I had no idea I was repressing. I’m giving myself permission to look at these things and to allow that the panic I feel is a signal that it’s time to take much better care of my own needs. It as if my body is saying… time to care about Kathy for once!

Thank you for giving me a head start on getting the symptoms under better control. I will watch for the first signs of panic and internalize the idea that I am safe and there is no tiger behind the bush…

    With much love *Kathy

  19. Kevin says:

Have to tell you. After watching the video for the first time I really feel relaxed. I am in a 100% commission job that I actaully do like. Just got married bought a house so for the past few years I have been having attacks. I dont want a to feel like this anymore. As a child I never had anything like this. However I look forward to your vidoes and CHANGE,. Already think they are helping. Its great to hear stories and know you are not the only one. Thanks again for what you do

  20. Kathleen D. Cone says:

I wanted to mention that about a year and 1/2 ago.. I fell from a high ladder.. (toppled over the top when a lamp I was removing from the ceiling gave way) and it threw me back over the ladder and directly on my head a good 6ft or more down and broke 6 vertebra… my vertebra were repaired amazingly with non-evasavie surgeries and my brain checked (at that time) for proper electrical function but not since…

So for me a CAT scan and possibly an EEG is in order… but it took a good year and 1/2 for the first symptoms of panic to arrive… So, I’d warn anyone who has had a serious injury to indeed check with their primary doctor to have your systems checked to eliminate and other cause for ‘panic atttacks’ that could be related…

but I feel that what is being taught in this forum is healthy for anyone who knows what it’s like to face dealing with ‘Panic Attacks’ … regardless of the source, because actual injury or no injury…it’s wisdom to learn ways to de-stress and live a better quality of life.

I’ll let everyone know how my blood work and scans go, but panic need not be a part of anyone’s life, injury or not and having techniques that work to resolve this often horrifying experience is a blessing for everyone’s life, since ‘panic attacks’ effect not only the person experiencing them, but those that care so much for the person going through them, such as family and friends.

Thank you so much for having a pro-active and positive answer to aid in recovery. It gives me alot of hope! *Kathy

  21. Diane says:

I have been dealing with panic attacks and depression for about 18-20 years. I have seen so many doctors and taken a lot of different types of medications and nothing works. This video talks straight about how you fire up your attacks in your mind!! This was very interesting and I will work on my attacks with this because I HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE and this video is explaining exactly what I do when I feel something is wrong with me.
    Thanks, xxxx Diane

  22. Randy Still says:

I have long suffered from anxiety and depression but only recently did I begin having real panic attacks. Anyone who’s had one knows they are the worst. My instinct is simply to escape, flee the situation but clearly this is not always possible or desirable at work or the dentist office, etc. I am very intrigued by the videos I’ve seen and plan to get more material and give it a real shot. This man seems to have some insights. And from my experience the panic attacks seem to increase as new situations present themselves in ways that have now become frightening – like sitting at a red light. Very scarry if you think you’re having heart attack, yet you have no choice but to sit there until the light changes. Anyway hope you and I and everyone who suffers can get a measure of relief.

  23. Bill says:

    Hey Geert,

Thanks my brother! I had originally had it start with chest pain that was probably from some food I ate and stress at work. I went to the Dr.’s office a few days later and they did an EKG and said I possibly had damaged my heart. Then I had some serious chest pain. I felt like I dropped off the planet. I was told it was my job, (in finance which I actually am good at). We declared bankruptcy and had me in the hospital some 20 plus times. Things only got worse because now I was forced (so I thought) to not work the way I liked to and make great money. I had every scan, test, even a heart catherization… everything you could think of. I used to run 5 miles 4-7 days a week. All reports came back that I was healthy. They tried antidepressants, which made it way worse or valium which made me feel drunk or sleepy and can be addictive. I thought I am the only one.
Finding your website was great, I had a read a vers in the Bible that said, “your brothers and sisters are suffering the same things all over the world”…now I know that verse it true. I’m sure glad one of my brothers figured it out!
When you said “your body is actually trying to save you life” it clicked for me. I thought “I feel many of these symptoms after running would never think anything was wrong. I would feel my chest burning and it never bothered me.” I’m looking forward to having my full life back and then some on top and helping others! Thanks bro and God Bless you!
    Bill

  24. Jay says:

Like your correspondent Kristin, I tend to get panic attacks when I’m NOT in a stressful situation. Often I’m just doing something relaxing I’ve done a hundred times before – and enjoyed – when the panic episode hits. It can last for days on and off, and usually does.

It makes absolutely no sense and makes me very miserable, as I have suffered these episodes for nearly fifty years. I know of two other sufferers who report exactly the same thing; the attack comes when the stress is off!

I would greatly value your thoughts on this in future newsletters.

  25. Stacey says:

I think I am going to be helped from watching our videos. Everything you say makes SO much sense.

Have been having attacks for three years Dr blames my job stress, I also had them in the 1980’s pretty severe and then they left until now. I think you are on target and can help me so I will continue your advice! Thank you

  31. Cynthia says:

When I first started having attacks I was in denial. I thought for sure I had a real medical problem. I didn’t realize until my doctor wanted to put me on anti-anxiety meds that I really had to do something else besides take zanax that is highly addictive. I refused to. I have been searching for a way to overcome them another way. While I have been taking deep slow breathes and telling myself everything will be ok, I’ve still needed something more. I really enjoyed this video because it gave me a simple way to address it even more. Thank you very much, I will continue to read and watch you’re material. XO

  32. Jessica says:

I really hopes this works. My family is really considering sending me to a mental hospital. 37. Greg says:

    Hey Geert,

Thanks for explaining my problems in such good detail.I’m 17yrs young and already I’ve suffered from panic attacks for about 3 years and im tired of it. I mainly get it in school because i’m afraid of what people would think of me and most definatly with class presentations. I thought that I was the only one with this problem. Thank You so much sir for your help!

  38. Wayne says:

I have suffered from these feelings for many years. My experience is an overwhelming desire to get away from where I am which is usually triggered by being in exactly that position in which I can’t just run and hide or get away. Public speaking is a big one, also being introduced to people, the more people the worse the attack. I have tried to cope in many ways in the past. I thought I was crazy, even talking about it makes me start to get symtoms. I had a bad childhood experience when I was in hospital for several years and strapped to a bed due to a problem with my Hip joint.I could not move at all for almost a year! I have always kind of blamed that experience but I did not know why it still bothered me. It has continued for over 30 years. I turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism which of course led me to addiction problems. This I have now overcome. I have used all sorts of medications as well because I really thought I must be mad. Hearing what you said in your video clip was not really news to me but it explained it in a way I think I can work on, and also realise I’m not the only crazy person here!

  39. Mary says:

Thanks for the video. I look forward to more. I hate these panic attacks and I want control back over my body.

  40. Milena says:

I’ve been suffuring from depresion, panic atacs and agoraphobia for more than 10 years.Have been to doctors back in Europe and here in the USA.Just read what Jay and Kristin wrote and thought…I use to work for a cruise lines,so a was on a ship in open seas for at least 6 mounths a year and we were about to sink two times. So you could immagine the stress. But at moments like that I’m pulling myself together and I’m the coolest person onboard because I know that there are passengers that I have to help.Feel no panic.I’m just fine.Doing my job.Than two three days after in the midle of a friendly conversation with a passenger at the front desk…IT COMES So strong-can’t breath, cant focus on what that person says, holding myself to the desk so strong that I feel pain in my fingers.Thinking “just do not womit here and do not run because they’ll think you’re loozing it.Well our brain is a mistery but I’ll do anything I goota do get this feelings out of mylife.Thank’s for the video. When I heard you..It was just like I was listening to myself.
    GOD bless you,

    Milena

  41. Juan says:

I’m trying my best to do everything, I joined the gym last week which has been great, didn’t know I would enjoy it. I have started breathing technics when i feel an attack coming on and they work great and now I will think about the tiger, looking forward to other videos.

  43. Matthew says:

Reading the comments above, these anxiety attacks seem to begin at random times. The anxiety attacks I am having, however, didn’t start until I smoked marijuana one night and experienced the effects of the drug. It was my first time doing marijuana and, even though I only took two hits of it, the high I experienced was so scary and traumatic. I experienced intense fear, loss of control, loss of focus, and even loss of reality (derealization) and self (depersonalization). Upon realizing this, my mind went out of control and that is where the anxiety started. Even though the high is long over and the pot is out of my system, I am still experiencing anxiety attacks. I keep losing control over my thoughts and I don’t know if it’s the drug or if the drug triggered something in my brain that is causing the attacks. I no longer feel like myself and I need help. My emotions keep cycling from happy to scared and I want it to stop. One hour I am calm and relaxed, the next hour I begin to feel the anxiety and I lose control of my thoughts. This has only been going on for two days.

If there is one thing I got from the video, it’s that all I’m experiencing are the symptoms of anxiety attacks. I just need to accept the symptoms until I get better somehow.

  44. Anissa says:

Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally someone knows exacly how i feel. Im not going to drop dead at the age of 28 of a massive heartattack.I look forward to recieving more benificial info.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. Matthew says:

Nevermind my last comment. I am better now. Thanks to Geert and his videos, I was able to overcome my anxiety attacks and regain control of my thoughts. Even though my mind is in an altered state now, I somehow feel completely good that I was able to still my thoughts with the advice Geert gave me. In a way, not only have I overcome my anxiety attacks, I have achieved a new state of consciousness.

The only advice I can give is to never do pot. It is not as harmless as you think it is. The high can either be really good or really bad, and the bad highs can really mess up your mind. You never want to risk that.

Also, drink green tea, but only antioxidative green tea. It will heal your brain, slow down your thoughts and calm you down. Avoid substances rich in caffine and pro-oxidants or they will only cause your thoughts to speed up, thus causing the panic attack. Consuming products rich in caffine or pro-oxidants is the last thing you need to do if you want to slow down your mind.

Thank you all and take care. Remember, slowing down your thoughts is the key to overcoming anxiety attacks.

  53. Michelle says:

I have been suffering from anxiety attacks for almost 2 years now. They are awful. When I started to watch this video, I literally started to feel my heart start to palpitate because of just listening to him describe the process got me going lol BUT, as fast as it started to palpitate I was able to pay attention to the video and do exactly as he said to. My heart beat calmed down. I do now relize that I am doing this to myself and that there isn’t ANY tigers in front of me. What a minor accomplishment, but it’s a brand new start for me. Thank you…

  54. Fiona says:

    Extremely helpful.

  55. jane says:

Thank you this is going to help me alot. You taught me alot.
I just went thru one about a hour ago.

  56. Kim says:

I am 50 years old, and only today , after years of therapy and 21 years of antidepressants, do I see a possible end to the pain. I probably had 20 + panic attacks today. I took myself off of my medication very slowly. I started in June and it took until August slowly dropping the dosage. The side effects were horrid, as was the withdrawl. The meds left me function, but I just never felt right. I lost my father 15 months ago(who I also am realizing suffered his entire life with the very same thing) We were very close. I am having trouble distinguishing hot flashes from that part of a panic attack, and then the hot flash makes me fearful that another panic attack is coming which perpetuates the problem. I cried as I watched your first video,it spoke directly to me as my biggest fear is dying. I feel every ache and am very aware of my body. I cannot watch medical shows because I fear that I have the same thing. I have been to many doctors and they find nothing.I recently dropped 20 pounds over a 6 month period, since going off the antidepressants. At first I was thrilled, but not long, because I started to believe that it must be because I was terminally ill with something. It has been gaining momentum ever since. I do not want to go back on the medication that made me gain wait and just coast through life, not really feeling alive. I am hopeful you are my answer. I will save my money so I can order your program. thank you for a glimmer of hope. Kim

  57. Adam says:

Thank you. I actually watched the first video while I was having a panic attack and it relieved me as alot of the descriptions were alot of what I feel. Like what Amanda said, I have these attacks out of nowhere especially when I feel at peace. I had been rushed to the hospital before for the exact same thing, my whole body went completely numb and all I could here was the pounding of my heart. Two things trigger my attacks, sometimes my head feels erratic but my heart beat is fine and other times my heart races out of control but my head is ok. However each one sets off the other. The video helped because it relates especially that alot of people don’t understand how this feels. Thank you and thank everyone that has posted comments. It really helps to be able to relate with others and realize your not alone in this. I look forward to the next email and videos

  58. Ryan says:

When i have a panic attack, It is all Focused around my throat and breathing.I feel like i cant catch my breath and that my throat is closing. I still get the sweats and feel like your trembling on the inside but it is the breathing that makes me freak. Thank you for this Video.I will try it out.

  59. San C. says:

I’m crying because after watching your video I feel understood for the first time. That in itself is a great help. Your advice is excellent; I have been able to do what you suggest myself and strongly urge anyone with this problem to embrace it and laugh as they feel it recede then go away! I feel my life changing for the better again…!

  60. jennifer furr says:

may god bless u for what u are doing. We all know how horrific a true panic attack can be. I’m going to fight this and fight it hard. i’m sick of being sick and i know it’s all in my mind. Thank u so much for ur help. May God keep and bless u.

  61. Jan says:

A very cogent and reassuring video – my panic attacks/heightened anxiety are making my life an uncertain hell.
Physically (so of course I am worried !!!!) they put my BP out of control even though I’m on meds also have something wrong with one of my eyes – glaucoma – and this worries me I am an active slim 72 year old – still teachingbut not enjoying anything at the moment. The GPs dont help
    either
I feel my mind is a cage with torture inside and no escape when I have an attack – however this videa – delivered
with assurance and humour is a great help as I to go to bed tonight.
    Thanks

  62. Mary says:

I have read all of the posts. My heart goes out to all of you who suffer this ailment as I do. I have always just made it through ( with prayer ) and yes many trips to the ER room, and or doctor’s office. It is all in our minds, but untill we can recogonize this, it is a struggle. I am able to stop them, but more-so I would like to learn what is triggering them. Perhaps here I will learn. God bless each and every one of you on your journey to wellness. Keep on keeping on. I too am thankful I found this web site. Mary.

  63. Julia Cross says:

I need to learn more about switching off my feelings because at the moment, they will not simply go away by accepting them. Yes I am afraid of several things that are not going to happen but i am still afraid of them anyway.

  64. Patty says:

I’ve have been suffering from my anxiety attacks for over 25 years. I hope that your program will help me out. I have been to doctor’s and even put on medication( which by the way isn’t helping me any). At this point I will try anything. Thank you so much for your interest. Maybe you are the answer to my prayers. I will stay in touch.

  65. Roxie F. says:

Panic attacks are something I woudn’t wish on anyone. That being said…..I feel better understanding what is going on in my body. I feel like you are talking 100% about me. I’m fortunate that I have understanding family and friends and a wonderful boyfriend who understand but you give me hope that I can stop these attacks and have a normal and happy life, especially after a very scary trip to the ER last week.

I look forward to learning more and adapting it to my life.
    Very gratefully yours,
    Roxie F.

  66. peii says:

thank you. you made me cry because of happiness. 🙂

  67. John says:

Well Geert, what can I say? You’ve obviously been through the anxiety wheel and are VERY good at explaining what exactly is going on inside the body as well as what brings it on in the first place. If permitted, anxiety can destroy your life! You will live in constant fear(s) of almost everything. It’s a terrible way to live! But I think your insight can help many people regain their lives. Keep up the great work that you do!!!!!!! Bravo!!!!!

    Geert,
God Bless you, and thank you so much. My son and I have both been experiencing panic attacks and I am going to share your information with him. I am unemployed right now so I will have to wait to order your program but I’m so thankful for the information you are giving out for free. I will try this thought method next time I start feeling one coming on. I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Am looking forward to my next email from you. Again, God Bless you as I’m sure he will.

  69. Sandra says:

    Hello,
The PA.’s certainly change one’s perspective on things. It’s the most
of my life at this age. I discovered in my 30’s that as consuming as
they seem to be, that they aren’t. At least in remembering while in
the midst of one, that I had been on the other side. THat was a help
I think in accepting, and I got through it faster. However, years later
I still suffer. So…I am glad to meet you, and to know there is help.

  70. Gabby Arriaza, CA says:

Hello there! Just wanted to let you know that I am so happy to have found you. I’ve seen a couple of your videos so far and now I don’t feel alone. I’ve been having mini panic attacks since I was young…maybe in my early teens and didn’t happen too often but now have become stronger and more frequent over ANYTHING now in my early 30’s with a dear caring husband of 12 years and 3 children. So far your words have been very helpful and I plan on taking your course as soon as possible. I do not want this taking over my life…my families life who are also suffering because of this. Thank you so much!

  71. Joan says:

I am so glad to find this information and look forward to more. Rarely, I have claustrophobia, but last night, I had a full blown panic attack after a claustrophobic dream. I knew that the problem had to be addressed. Thankfully, I found your web site. I look know that this will be conquered with your help.

  73. Meera says:

    hello sir,
I’ve been suffering from severe anxiety for some time. I thank God that I came across your site. It seems to be working for me. I never told my family about this and never thought about consulting a doc since I knew they would only prescribe me medicines and send me for some counselling sessions. I’m determined to overcome this and looking forward to your support..
    Thanking you once again…….

  74. Chris says:

I started having panic attacks about two years or more ago. Since then I have dropped out of school twice, am in debt up to my eyeballs because of this. I have a terrible time traveling and get a panic attack when I think about being on a plane! I hope this helps. I have been recommended this site by a friend who was helped out tremendously!

  75. Darnell says:

I have been having my anxiety reaction/ panic attacks for the last 2 months it comes randomly when i don’t even expect it too. it’s causes my blood pressure to be high. I’m scared to run, dance, anything that may cause my heart to race. I’m scared because I don’t want to have an attack. I dont want to be on meds. I want to be free. I’m in agreement along with all of the people on here. praying in hoping that this right here will work for me.

  76. Geoff says:

Found your web site and immediatelly conected to it. You sent me your first video and it was me. I really look forward to more of them as I know I am close to emotionally getting over my panic attacks but cant get totally over the mountain. With your techniques I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

  77. Debbie says:

Hello, I am so relieved that I am not alone. I thought I was going crazy. I have had panic attacks for a few years now,but went away for around a year, but recently came back with strong. I have a troubled childhood, and going to see them usally brings the attacks on. I recently lost my dog to pancreatic disease, and since then my paniac attacks have got out of control. I would like to know, like some of the others why alot of mine happen at night, waking up to one is the worse or when I am relaxed. I just tonight found this web site and hope it can help me. I do feel better that people out there can relate to what I am experiencing. Thank you so much !!!

  78. Tina White says:

I have been having severe panic attacks for nine years I always think everyone i have is gonna be my last demise. You would think after nine years and thousand s of attacks later I wouldn’t feel like i’m dying but every time is like the last i always think I’m dying. these are so scary they definitely run my life. I have a great life is the thing a husband of eleven years and two of the best babies a mom could ask for. I am in therapy and on an anti-depressant. I’m always complaing and thinking something is majorly wrong. My hubby don’t understand cause he trys so hard to make me happy and i am happy just not with my panic disorder!!!! I want to do the program although I am skeptical being i have tried so many with no relief I hope this one works!!!!

    Thank you!!!!!

  79. Gabrielle(gabby) says:

Hi Geert! Recently I found your introductory video ,ironically enough, while looking for pills to take to help stop panic attacks. After watching your video, it made sense to me that I, myself, could use my own thinking and mind along with your techniques to give me long term relief from panic attacks, while the pills only give short term relief and can cause problems of addiction and other physical health problems as well. I purchased the entire program outright without any trial period because I already have 100 percent faith that it will work! I suffer from other afflictions in addition to panic attacks-and I believe this program will help in all parts of my life. You are truly an inspiration!

  80. Amy says:

I had my first anxiety/panic attack August 2009. I thought I was dying. Until this day, I had not idea what caused it. Then today on my way to work the same thing happened to me, I felt really warm, could not catch my breath, felt like I had a lump in my throat and almost had to call an ambulance. Then when I got home from work I started to research anxiety and came across you video. I am part of the 20%, I want to fell better and not be afraid to have another attack, I believe this is what caused the one I had today for some reason I started to think about having an attack and developed one. It is nice to know that their are others out there feeling the same thing as I do at times.

    Thank you!

    Amy

  81. Nicole says:

I have been having panic attacks for close to 7 years and I have taught myself to just “deal” with them, and it works!!! I no longer believe that I’m having a heart attack, or going to pass out, have a lump in my throat, etc. I pretty much have them daily and even being on an antidepressant, I still have them. Because after I have them, I’m fine, I have learned to work through them! They are extremely scary, though. For someone who has one for the first time, you can see why they’d think they were having a heart attack, or dying! All I can say to people who suffer from this like I do is: talk yourself out of it…tell yourself that it’s JUST a panic attack, it WILL end, you WON”T die, and think about something positive while having one!!! It works!!
    Thanks,
    Nicole

  82. Reva says:

I have suffered with anxiety attacks since I was 17 years old..Im going to be 25 in June, and it has been almost 8 years this has been going on. I have taken medication, tried relaxation techniques…you name it. There has even been 2 occasions when I actually fainted and hit the floor. I thought nothing would help. After just watching and reading Geert’s testimony and hearing him say to accept my body’s response, I immediately felt better and like he understood what I was going through….Thank you so much Geert!!! Im so happy to have found something that is actually effective!:)

  83. Willie says:

My son passed away in 1997 at the age of 27.
    I started having aniexty/panic attacks. Didn’t
want to be anywhere, go anywhere, small crowds(even family) I couldn’t be around. Then I was
    scared of being alone.

Have been doing really good, until last year when
I was layed off. No jobs, etc. Now they are back!!

I do not want to take pills!! So I am hoping this
    will help.

  84. steve says:

  92. Sydney says:

When i first started having panic attacks they were really severe, i was falling straight onto the ground and blacking out just minutes after getting the first symptoms. It happened everywehre! In the taco bell line in the middle of the mall, at wal-mart with my dad, even at work i was running to the bathroom and laying on the floor for a few minutes till i could collect myself enough to get up. For about 6 years doctors were thinking i was having seizures because im anemic and kept prescribing seizure medication. I started dating this boy last year and his moms a nurse and we just flew out there so i could meet her for the first time last month and the whole airplane ride there and whole week we stayed i felt so sick i tried so many things to just calm down but nothing helped she told me about anxiety and said to look into it. Ever since i got back its been getting worse, ive been having them sometimes 3-6 times a day and now my doctor just poot me on anti-depressents. Ive heard good and bad about them but i just want to be able to go outside again. Its hard not being able to work or take the bus to meet up with friends, when i get invited to old friends places i lie and have to cancel im so scared. Ill try what you said and im happy for you making it, i hope i can overcome it oneday right now i feel like its never going to get better!

  93. Tina says:

Hi Geert, My name is Tina I have had panic attacks for nine years. They started after giving birth to my second child.

I have ordered any and everything you can think of for panic disorder with no results. Finally someone with no bull Shit, ex use my language but seriously!!! This is the first thing in nine years to help me. I love your program I am on week eight. You are so funny and I love your analogies and the way you put things. Most of all it makes me feel good to know you have been in my shoes!!!!

I love that your program is affordable not that it matters to me I would pay millions if i had it, to pay for real help, which is exactly what your program is, real help. I can’t wait for the following weeks to gain more knowledge and insight. I took a trip last weekend by myself with four screaming kids and did great it felt amazing. Like you said it was like getting a new ferrari, lol. Amazing how panic attack victims appreciate the simplest things.

You’re a great person with a huge heart I can tell. To want to help others in this way words can’t describe how thankful I am to have found ya!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Tina from Texas:)

  94. Cari says:

    Dearest Geert,
I am in my early 30’s and have had panic attacks and anxiety attacks for the past year. I am also a sufferer when I am at rest and have nothing going on. When I am busy and keep my mind busy I don’t seem to have them as bad. I have recently accepted the fact that it is what it is and for a month they stopped. I was also put on Lexapro instead of Xanax bc I did not want an addicting substance. This past week they have been a cycle on and off on and off and it is controlling me and my thoughts and I am in a very ugly place right now. This video was like you were talking straight to me and have known me forever. You are a great person for reaching out to us and trying to help us understand what you are so fortunate to. I look forward to your charismatic way of speaking and finding humor in what seems to be the worse thing that someone can go through. I have had alot of anxious actions in my life and alot of tragedy and it is nice to feel like I have a friend who actually understands. I hear it is in your head all the time and as a medical provider I understand that it is true. However, getting my brain to stay on that thought process is so hard. Thank you for everything and hopefully a new beginning in my life. XOXO

  95. Mimi G. says:

I just had a lightbulb moment when Geert said to accept the panic attack, it is my body trying to protect me, to keep me alive. My eyes filled with tears because for many years I wondered why is this happening to me, why is this war within myself taking place? Iam so grateful for this information, and I am so looking forward to reclaiming my life and being healthy and happy again. Thank you…

  96. Matt says:

    hello!
I had my first panic attack a week ago, at the time i was taking pain killers for the 4 wisdom teeth i had pulled the previous week. When my heart started to race and my chest felt heavy i was convinced i had accidentally overdosed. My family brought me to the ER and naturally, they said i was in perfect health. That DID put my mind at ease but then exactly a week later, as i was nodding off to sleep, i jumped up gasping for air and then started to tremble and shake, and had the heavy chest feeling again. The next day my mom and I did lots of research and i found your site and i do feel a lot better. Since last week ive been able to somehwhat control the attack when i begin to feel bodily symptoms but when i can’t i just listen to your mp3 files and slowly feel better.
This has never happened to me before but thanks to you and these people leaving replys i know i’ll be alright, it’s just a matter of time.
Stay strong everyone, we’ll get through this!!!
    Much love<33

  97. Damon says:

Hello. These damned “panic attacks” are like living nightmares. Sometimes lasting for hours, and have only been getting worse over the years despite everything I’ve tried. Geert, could not have spoken the exact same symptoms I/we get, any better than I could. I doubt he will read this, but I can’t afford the cost of his program, but I am wondering if there are any other resources available that are similar. If anyone knows of anything, asides these once a week clips, please let me know.
Thanks, Geert, and everyone else here too that has shared. GREAT to know you’re not alone, not going nuts, and that there is REAL help (not these doctors who claim they can help, or give you a drug/med)
    Best wishes, Damon

I started having panic feelings a couple of months ago, my doctor immediately put me on Xanax and a heart monitor, I am only 29 years old, These attacks are happening everywhere, in college classes, restaurants, grocery stores, hair salons, my sons base ball games, every where, I feel like I am going nuts, I found this web sight only last night, after taking my son to a nice dinner to congratulate him for such a great job in base ball, he did not understand why after we ordered our food, I immediately told the waiter never mind, we need our food to go. I am at my breaking point right now, for sure. I do not know how much longer I can stay strong, it is affecting my schooling, my work, my family and my whole life. help……………………….

  99. Leilani says:

I accidently stumbled upon this website. I am in contact with many people and will keep this information to pass on to others!

  100. maddie says:

Hi everyone, after searching the internet AGAIN, for a solution to anxiety and panic disorder I came across this site. I have spent hundreds of pounds on different therapies all offering the cure me! They haven’t. I panic during driving. it’s not a phobia about driving as I’ve always loved driving. Its just i had my first panic attack whilst driving and now I go into fight or flight response every time I’m in a car. I try and accept the feelings but it’s really hard when you’re in control of a car! I don’t suffer breathing problems or sweating etc, bt my bodygives me a huge shotof adrenaline, and then dizziness and waves of immense panic. Does anyone else suffer with this? I’m wondering how people are finding the actual course as I’m thinking of trying it….

  101. Robyn says:

Hi Maddie I’ve followed this course for the exact same problem and Geert has given me some great techniques. I now drive again every day and although I’ve had to use his tsunami method the first couple of weeks I don’t need it anymore now and drive without fear!

    Robyn

  102. Kathy says:

Your awesome for posting your experiences for the public to watch and read..it’s so helpful what you said..Thank You!!

  103. Thomas says:

ive never had any complications before up until 6 weeks ago when i had an attack after at lunch after a long weekend with friends. the doc told me it was from drinking to much but then they only got worse i constantly was feelin like there was something in my head. i never could sleep, i was not myself and all this time i was going through medical school. It is hard enough to get through school healthy but when you arent even yourself it is impossible. I never wanted to go back to the doctors because i didnt want to be ruled crazy. Every public experience was dreadful. Id alway look for a way out. I couldnt read or think and barely speak. I felt like everyone knew i was sick too, im under 30 years old and in perfect physical condition but my blood pressure was 145/90 at the time. absolutely not normal. MY ekgs were perfect and an echocardiogram showed a perfectly healthy heart. Ii have associated sleep, and food and public places with being more sick, I thought i had cancer and would weigh myself everyday. I though my kidneys were failing cause i would have to go so much. Im hoping these videos and talking it out will help

    thank you

Finally…someone who understands and can deliver a message in a caring, calm manner. I am having endless panic attacks as I have moved to a new city and stopped many years of xanax. Thank you Geert…I feel this may work 🙂

  107. GERALD FERNANDES says:

Thank you very much for the great thing you are doing.God bless you.

  108. Jo says:

I am glad to know that there are people out there that feel exactly the way that I do. Sometimes this technique works for me, but other times it doesn’t. I just have to keep reminding myself that I am fine and this is just the way that my body reacts to certain types of situations.

  109. Tracey says:

I have been having panic attacks for three years now. I have decided to give this program a try. I have tried a few different kinds of meds but they only make me feel worse. I’m ready to put my hand in the fire. 🙂 Wish me luck and I will keep you posted as to how I’m doing.

  110. wendy says:

My very first panic attack left me feeling so. scared and alone.I felt light-headed,heart was racing, unreality, chest tightened, pupils dilated among other symptoms. i had a full work up @ my doctors, cat scan and blood work on everything, eye doctor, i even went to see my gyno and everything was fine. some days i wake up with this fear over me and i don’t even know what it is. I hope to learn alot from this video.

  111. michael idede says:

I just went and listen to your teachings and explainations and i discovered that it will be very helpful to me.
    thanks

  112. clover says:

Thank you for sharing your pass, glad to know you came up with a solution,God must have chosen you for this day. it helps just to know that I am not alone in the fight. My son and I have been battleing anxiety, mine started about eight years ago but I have been able to manage by practiceing relaxation and mediation but my son’s seem to get very bad at times so I am ordering your products and trust that it will work.

  113. Norine Hodges says:

I do programs at the local state college. Can I show them this video for our anxiety program? How can I get a copy. Often first year students are under stress which can lead to anxiety or panic attacks. I will give them your website. I also ordered your book which I will use as well.
    Thanks, Norine

  114. Sammey says:

Im glad there are people out there who understand what its like to experience this. My anxiety & panic attacks came about in June and since then i have 2 or more everyday. Not only do i have panic attacks, i faint after them because my blood pressure gets too high. After having blood tests, ECGs, chest xrays and a load of other tests, the hospital told me it was just stress because of my exams and i needed to try control them. Recently, me and my mother have done research and found that i actually have Social Phobia and in really bad cases, it can cause anxiety & panic attacks. So now i have to have counseling for my Social Phobia and it could hopefully stop the anxiety & panic attacks. I am going to follow your methods of controlling & stopping the attacks while in counseling an i hope i learn alot from your videos and hope that it helps me. 🙂

  115. teri says:

Wow – powerful and pertinent to so many of us. I’ve had mini panic attacks for a couple of years, but the last landed forced a 911 call and landed me in the hospital. Like other people have noted, it was after a very stressful period and occurred when I was having a very peaceful evening out of the blue. Didn’t even feel like there would have been any time to even attempt self-talk. I went from zero to 100 in about 30 seconds. So scary, but in hindsight I can see that there was probably a minute or so before where there were warning signs. Since then it is almost a nightly experience that a does of ativan takes care of, but this is no way to live. Thanks you for your insight.

  116. shayma says:

finally somebody who can explain things clearly..
im 20 years old and started my panik attacks at 13.. since then they have become more cronic and have kept me house bound they have caused me to devolep severel phobias and now unfortunatley its caused me depersonalization.. ive searched long and hard for somebody with past expeirecnce who is recoverd and everytime i serach its all spam i hope you know what your doing is such a great thing and that your helping others God bless you and wish everyone here good luck and good health.. but if you could answer my question… i wanted to know if you had any exoeirences with depersonalization or dessociation?.. thank you
    shayma.

  117. Marko says:

  118. Caroline Cardone says:

First I want to thank you for your experiences. I fully understand your methods and yes they work. My problem and question is this. What and how can I stop this from happening when I’m in a deep sleep. I feel them coming on during the day and I can stop it by breathing exercises and telling myself this is physigial. But I have no defense when asleep and fully relaxed. I do have alot of stress but I always have. Thank you so much for your help. Caroline.

  119. Jaklynad says:

Hi Geert; I have never shared this information with anyone. I have been put in the local hospital more than 7 times (the “special ward”) because I was deemed unstable and harmful to myself & or others. I have been classified as a rapid cycle bi-polar. I am heavily medicated, that doesn’t always help. I have your first set of CD’s, I hang a Right to Happy town frequently, use your breathing techniques, the castle method. The Dog video left me in tears. You have saved my life. People who know me are already commenting on how calm I am. My Doctor thinks your approach is fantastic. The Canadian Mental Health want to listen to your CD’s. I cannot thank you enough for the right turn.

  120. Marie says:

ThiS is my third night listening to Geert. He is an angel and I am glad I came across his page as I have been feeling great since listening to his techniques. Twomdaysin a row I was able to leave the house and go sopping without feeling anxious and light headed. Also I am using lavender oil as a relaxant. Have not started on my 3 rd antidepressant as I feel this time I will not need them after 10 years of anxiety. Thank you Geert, look forward to relaxing and listening to your voice and your wonderful knowledge of panic attacks and anxiety. SO BE IT 🙂

  121. wife of victim says:

It has been 5 years to my marriage and my hubby has the same problem…It really hurts seeing him this way..In the earlier days of my married life I could not understand the reason to his negligence towards me but now as I can understand his sufferings I will try my level best to help him set free of this disease by making my hubby follow the techniques shared on this website.
