    Hi Geert,

I started your program this morning and I have to say I’m amazed by what I’m hearing. I’ve tried many things before and I was afraid this would just be one of those you know.

But this is different. I only listened to the first session but with that one alone I already feel calm and relaxed.

I love your accent and your voice as well!

Keep it up, you are a great person!

    Meghan

    Geert,

I like the examples you give regarding Panic Attacks and how to deal with them so they no longer are able to expose themselves to you. I would very much like to see or read about your other solutions and also learn about the tools you talk about.

Thanks for your hard work and videos

  4. Karen says:

Hi I really liked your spider video. That makes a lot of sense. I never have liked spiders. I’m going to try that next time and I’ve subscribed to your trial offer as well. Thanks! Karen

    Hello,
Several weeks ago I discovered your on-line help for panic and have watched your videos, which are quite thought provoking.

My panic attacks come only when I am driving on the freeway (as I approach the onramp I go into a full panic…’the point of no return’ feeling I guess). I hate driving fast and hate passing trucks, I hate having cars zooming all around me.

For 15 years I was a great freeway driver with no problems at all. Then I had my first panic attack about 10 years ago and things have gotten progressively worse where I now can’t get on the freeway at all.

I REALLY want to be able to drive the freeway again (and stop relying on others)…can you help?
    THX!

  6. Kalie Ann says:

Thank you from the bottom of my desperate heart! I’m excited for the future videos, and the outcome!

HI, GEERT, IT IS REALLY COMFORTING TO KNOW THAT SOMEBODY REALLY KNOWS WHAT’S GOING ON WITH US. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT YOU ARE AN EXPERT ON THE FIELD BECAUSE YOU WHERE ONCE IN THE BOAT. I HATE GOING TO A SICOLOGIST BECAUSE I CAN SENSE THEY DON’T HAVE A QLUE OF WHAT’S GOING ON. I’AM SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT YOUR PROGRAM. I BEEN READING A LOT BUT I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START. I STILL HAVE A LOT OF MATIRIAL TO READ. BUT I DEFINETILLY GOING TO CHECK OUT YOUR PROGRAM.
    TAKE CARE.

  8. Jessie says:

I have your program for two weeks now and I’m already starting to feel the difference! I used the tsunami method in the supermarket yesterday (it was really crowded) and it worked great!

I’m so thankful that I found this website!

I have had panic disorder, general anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder for over 2 decades. I have tried so many different things to overcome it but I have reached a point in my recovery where I am stuck. Your videos and other information have been most helpful because of your ability to relate to those of us who are suffering. You truly have an understanding of what it feels like to be overreactive with anxiety and just watching and listening to you feels like you’re a close friend, encouraging us on. Thanks so very much for all that you’ve done for us.

I think changing your point of view, your way of looking at anxiety is very powerful. I like both the wave and Bob the spider. I find not being afraid of anxiety is a discipline that needs to be learned. I am really getting that i am afraid of my anxiety and how I lose control over my mind when it visits. Yes, your videos are very helpful and i would be grateful to receive more of your strategies for conquering this fear. Also, I want to acknowledge you for being a stand for us to eliminate fear from our lives.

  13. Darren says:

    Just a very quick question!

I’ve been playing with the tiger a lot recently, which is really good. I’ve been to the cinema, been out for meals and got the train a few times which were all things that I feared in the past.

One thing though. When I get the train I like to listen to your course on my ipod as it helps to distract my attention and keep me focused. Thinking about it though I don’t think i’d like to get the train without my ipod. Do you think it is OK to use this as a helpful tool or should I really be attempting this all on my own without the ipod?

Your advice would be much appreciated!

  15. Casee says:

I could cry because of what you have taught me in just a couple of emails and videos from you. I always knew I was uncomfortable around people ,but I never understood why until I came across your first video and I was stuck…I couldn’t move while listening to your video out of amazement,

I am amazed at how I am relaxed and at ease with myself and people. Friends and family that I have isolated myself from because of my social anxiety, I am now building relationships with them again after such a long time. I’ve been on two interviews and got BOTH jobs. I would recommend this video to anyone experiencing any sort of anxiety.

    It REALLY does work.

    Thank you SOOOOOO much.

I have watched several of your videos, and they are all excellent.

  36. Leslie Marie says:

Thank you for your support. I had a “break Down” and now in alittle trouble. My anxiety is so real, and won’t go away, even with help, (meds, which got me in trouble by accident)and my husband is tired of them and don’t understand and left me 5 days ago. Thank you for your info…

  37. Carolyn says:

I like your approach very much. I am trying to learn as much as I can about panic attacks as my daughter in law has them. She is extremely guarded and ashamed of them…only recently told me about them. So I want to learn what I can to help her.

  38. Marthica says:

    Hi Geert,
Thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge with us. I started reading your info a few days ago, and already find it very useful. Thanks again

  39. Melanie says:

    Geert,

I think its really awsome what you are doing! I don’t think there is enough emphasis out there on how life changing and horrifying panic attacks are on the people who live with them on a daily basis. What I mean is that there aren’t alot of outlets media wise that talk about this problem and its a huge one that so many people deal with. And as far as heredity goes I’ve had anxiety symptoms since childhood, my parents might have some but not as severe and now my 6 yr old daughter have definatly shown signs of it. But it makes sence that your children mimic what they see and I try to keep my anxieties to myself around her and try to help her with hers in a positive way.

    Thanks!

    Hi Geert!
I liked this video and agree with the other posters you really seem to “get it”. After seeing your website a couple of weeks ago and listening to some videos, I decided to order and so excited to get started! Just now as I was watching the spider video, my boyfriend asked “what” I was watching and I told him about the program. He is glad for me as well! Thanks again!

All I can think of is Charlottes Web-and Charlotte was the sweetest spider in the world. This was a children’s book that I read as a child and taught as a teacher. Wonderful video-thanks for it! 🙂

  47. Maryann says:

I just flew in an airplane after avoiding it for 10 years. I did exactly what you talked about when a spider or the wave came. I just talked through it and kept on checking to see if the ground was there. For some reason that helped me throughout the flight. I can’t say that I am axious free yet but it is much better than I thought it would be. Thanks for the tip!!!

  48. john roles says:

    Thanks much…
One other option for “Bob” is to remove him safely from
    the kitchen…But that’s trickier!..Thoughts?
I guess that’s more like close exposure.. 🙂

While I do agree and believe in every thing I’ve seen in your videos there are still many of us who need help that may not be able to even

  59. julie elsenpeter says:

thank you geert you are such a blessing to me and my family , i now know that i did learn by example as my dad was an extremely anxious person mostly in social situations i feel he sensed early in our lives to push us to join activities that would prevent us from this happening to us. as an adult i find much comfort in knowing i am not alone and i can get over this i share the video with my hubby and kids as well and i think it will help us all to have a more fun and fullfilling life

  60. Randy says:

All I can say is for the first time in my life, I found someone
who shares the same fears that i have lived with for over 40
years. I can only say that you were there many years ago, but
I now see it is not to late to really enjoy life for the first time.

    Thank you

PS I think you might have saved the rest of my life.

  61. Tania says:

I love your tidal wave analogy!!! That is sooo true. It is like the same feeling. You either have to let it come or panic. I am making the effort to accept the oncoming water.

  62. Ray says:

Hi Geert, I am a Counsellor in London and I always a couple of people to see who are undergoing some form Panic – I teach preety much the same way as you, however, recently I have been recommending your site as back-up to my teaching – I’m quite sure you have more clients as a result of this – I’m hoping you are ok with this situation, if not please advise – Take Care Ray

  63. Tom says:

    Hi Geert,
This is the first video I’ve seen, my counselor recommended this site and I’m glad she did. I found your video very reassuring and helpful, I look forward to seeing more. Thank You!
    Tom

  64. C.Matthews says:

Wow, so good to know I’m not the only one and that there are tools to get through this…thank you, you’ve made a difference!

  65. Sue says:

Great video and you are certainly NOT stupid. I have taught for 16 years and this is the way I help students learn by putting in a context that they can relate to.

Also, James Dobson who is an Christian Psychologist, writes books, TV, radio, etc. gave an example of men in Viet Nam at night who thought they were being attacked and they were not. In the morning, they found the only destruction was from their guns, there were no Viet Cong around and hadn’t been. He stated that this what the mind can do when you are under stress and you are doing the same great healing in a very understandable way.

Great job, keep up the good work!

  66. Claudia says:

    Geert,
I know that this is cliche, but I truely feel that you are speaking directly to me. So much so that my husband will walk in on me watching your videos and I will be nodding, commenting, or even crying, and he knows exactly what I am doing. I cant wait to get the next email and I am seriously concidering making my investment with your program and not wasting anymore $$ with therapy(it doesn’t work, as you know).
    Thanks,
    Claudia

  67. Maria says:

    Hi Geert!
Thank you so much for all your videos online. It’s really helping me to understand my anxiety.I get anxiety attack everyday for no reason at all! I am taking medicine for it but it does not work.So watching your video is helping me a lot than my medicine.
    Thanks,
    Maria

  68. Karima Hastings says:

    Geert,
I am really enjoying your emails and videos! How refreshing and encouraging!
    Thank you,
    Karima

  69. Marla says:

    Geert,
I love these videos you’re emailing me…..I also like the responses. The one gal who talks about freeway driving being the only place she gets panic attacks is exactly how I am! Cars and trucks all around me and semi’s are really bad. I used to drive all over the place, but in 2006 I got sick while driving from heat exhaustion and dehydration. I got dizzy and really sick and couldn’t get off the freeway for a whiile. Ever since that time the minute I try to drive outside of town I get anxious. And yes I want to be free of this…I hope to be able to try your course. Thank you..

  70. Andrew says:

    Hi Geert,
Very impressed I must say. I’m on the first batch of cd’s and its going really well. Ive been in the anxiety state on and off since 1989 and had various experiences which i have managed to overcome but 1 thing which remained with me is Claustrphobia. I have already been on a train, in a lift (my worse fear) and Friday i’m flying to Denmark .
If you listen to ” I FOUND YOU by AXWELL . Geert is the streek of light your looking for..
    Best Wishes.

  71. AFZA says:

I really started to use these strategies to avoid my panic attacks because its very miserable to live whole life with horrible attacks.

    God bless u

  72. joan says:

    hello Geert,
I just watched your Bob the Spider video and it is so true as you described it. This summer I have had spiders in my kitchen and have reacted as you said. I don’t like them especially when they run out unexpectedly. I freeze.
maybe I overract but I have to catch them or I am always watching until I get them.
I am going to try your lesson. Thanks so much.

    All the Best

  73. Jessica says:

    Geert,
I am just beginning week two of your course, I got the trial version and I know I will be getting the full version! I cannot believe the changes that are already happening 1 week into this. You have such a way of explaining things, I can’t believe I never understood before. My eyes are now open, I feel like I’ve been in darkness for the past 7 years! My biggest fear was driving anxiety, it started when I was driving on an interstate with my husband and eating french fries, and I choked on a french fry and had to pull over and fainted. That was my external factor, as you described, that started a spiral of fears. I never realized that before! After that incident I was so afraid of driving, and I couldn’t understand why as I loved to drive before. I constantly beat myself up over it, and talked down to myself. I am loving week 2! I never realized how awful I was to myself until now. Thank you so much Geert! You are my saving grace. I will be forever grateful to you and I am totally sticking to this course and going to beat this! (by the way, I love the tsunami method, been putting myself out there every day since I started and applying it, and I have driven so many places already that I avoided before!) Thank you so much!!!!

    Jessica

  74. Sam says:

    Hi Geert!!
I found your page a few weeks ago and the techniques are already working. Like you described in the video, I too plan escape routes and try to plan everything. After applying the techniques you’ve given, I am already starting to accept things instead of controlling it. Thankyou for your help!!
    Sam

  75. Derek says:

Love this attitude….i am a police officer and firefighter from Ohio and started having panic attacks when my grandfather passed away and several traumatic events while working…its with the help of people like you that i am dusting myself off and getting back on the rig after i had to take a leave of absence…now im trying my hardest to go back to saving lives instead of being afraid to leave the house….thanks so much

  76. Laura says:

You are such an awesome person! ThankYou SOOOO Much for knowledge, and and caring enough to help others! If we could All DO THAT,(People Helping People)IT WOULD BE A MUCH HAPPIER WORLD 🙂

    hi geert
i really enjoy watching your videos they are an inspiration to me .very helpful and i hope that seeing more of your wise words and techniques will help me overcome my panic attacks for good . but for now they are working well thank you

  82. Warren says:

Thanks so much for this video! I get panic attacks taking the train to work. As soon as I go through the tunnel, it hits me like a ton of bricks, heart racing, pure terror. Ususally, I calm down after a couple of minutes because I know it is just temporary. It is the thought of having no way out and all the people around me that sends me into a panic.

  83. emre says:

geert, you are really sincere.when Ä° watch your videos, Ä°’m saying to myself, “hey this guy is speaking from his heart.and its real.”.thank you that you didnt stop after your healing and thank you for you decide to share this with others.its very kind.

  84. Yvette says:

Wow this was amazing! Thank you so much for that Geert! I love the ” I will deal with it when it happens” concept. As someone who lives with panic attacks I never to thought of looking at it that way! Thank you again!
